Travis Credit Union and the California Credit Union League are
very appreciative and thankful to the congresswomen and congressmen who are
supporting the credit union industry by becoming cosponsors of H.R.1537 Credit
Union Regulatory Improvement Act. The basic intent of the bill is to modernize
credit union net worth standards, advance credit union efforts to promote
economic growth, modify credit union regulatory standards and reduce burdens,
which in essence would put credit unions on an even parity with banks.
