We can help you find ways to pay for college

If paying for college is in your immediate future, Travis Credit Union can help get you started.
Our new online Student Loan Center helps you research financial aid options so you or your child can focus on hitting the books. Students searching for a low-interest, federally guaranteed loan should contact the financial aid office at their school to learn more about Stafford and PLUS Loans, as well as Pell grants and scholarships, which do not have to be repaid.

If federal aid doesn’t cover the total cost of your education, you can still get the money you need. Private Education Loans are unsecured, credit-based and available to students or parents for tuition and fees, living expenses, supplies, computers and other everyday living expenses.

Our Student Loan Center also has a scholarship tool that allows you to search our online database of more than 9,000 college funding sources comprised of more than 800,000 individually awarded scholarships valued at more than $2.8 billion. Searching prior to the application deadlines means you’re bound to find one that fits your needs.

Meanwhile, college graduates who need help repaying student loans should investigate federal or private consolidation loans. Consider the convenience of bundling your student loans into a single loan with one lender and one repayment plan.

Another option for funding student loans is through a home equity loan from Travis Credit Union. The application process is much faster, the rate could be lower, and there can be tax advantages to using your home’s equity. Make the comparison and decide whether a Private Education or home equity loan would be the best option for you.

Visit our Student Loan Center. If you need to speak to a student loan representative, please call (866) 266-6728.

We’re working in association with NextStudent to provide you this financial aid information. For information on home equity loan options, contact our Home Loan Center at (707) 469-2000 or (888) 698-0000.
