Financial stress can
blindside you at any time and in many ways—such as a loss
of income, an unanticipated increase in your mortgage payment, accumulated
credit card debt or unexpected medical expenses. At Travis Credit Union, we
recognize that money concerns have a serious effect on your quality of life and
we’re here to help.
Partner in BALANCE
As part of our commitment to offer solutions toward your financial security, we
are pleased to
introduce a free and confidential financial counseling service to
TCU members. We have partnered with BALANCE Financial Fitness Program to
give you free access
to unbiased money management information and
assistance
whenever you need professional guidance on financial issues.
Answers to your questions
With a simple toll-free phone call, BALANCE multi-lingual counselors can answer
a wide range of money management, personal finance
and credit-related
questions, including identity theft,
foreclosure counseling and home and vehicle
loan education.
One-on-one attention
What’s more, for complex
situations, such as developing a debt elimination
strategy or budget development, BALANCE will arrange follow-up phone
appointments with you so you’ll continue to receive that one-on-one attention
you’ve come to expect as a member of Travis Credit Union.
For example, if your bills have gotten out of hand, a BALANCE counselor may be
able to arrange a debt management plan with
creditors to develop strategies so
you can pay your debt quickly and efficiently. Other counseling
services include
bankruptcy prevention, credit report reviews and a housing education program.
