Whether you joined Travis Credit Union in 1951, when we were first chartered, or last week
when you opened your account, you are now part of a financial cooperative committed to
helping you improve your financial well-being. As a member of the credit union, we hope you
understand that
membership really does matter. You receive better rates on vehicle loans and
additional loan discounts if you also have Direct Deposit or pay your vehicle loan automatically
through payroll deduction. You can open a Free Checking account with free Online Banking and
free Bill Pay, and earn Debit Cash-back Rewards when you use your debit card for purchases.
And your transactions at more than 25,000 CO-OP Network® ATMs are also free. These are just
a few of the ways that membership matters at Travis Credit Union.
Proven value
Last year we hired an independent researcher to take a look at Travis Credit Union and
compare our rates and fees to other financial institutions. Dr. Will Jackson was able to
quantify that there’s proven value in being a member of Travis Credit Union. A two-member
household can save approximately $300 per year compared to for-profit financial institutions,
like banks. And the savings is even greater when you count those free ATM transactions. Let
our friendly and knowledgeable staff show you how we can add value to your
membership by
saving you money and time. And we promise not to offer you a product or service that doesn’t
fit your specific needs.
We are better together
If you visited a branch lately, I’m sure you noticed our recent membership campaign. Branch
employees have been encouraging members to refer Travis Credit Union to family members,
friends and neighbors. New members who save and borrow with Travis Credit Union help make
our cooperative stronger. We are better together!
We hope you’ll recommend the gift of membership to those who are important to you. Let us
show them how they can save money and time—like you’ve already discovered. You’ll receive
$25 for each referral when their new account is opened. That’s our gift to you with our thanks
for being a member of Travis Credit Union.
Our vision and mission
Our vision is to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve. To reinforce this vision,
we have partnered with the BALANCE Financial Fitness Program to offer a free counseling and
budgeting service to help you achieve your financial goals. We’re providing this free service
because we want to be advocates for your financial education and well-being. In
addition, we
are committed to assisting the underserved,
investing in our communities,
and inspiring the
passionate
commitment of our employees. Our staff is instrumental in
accomplishing our
vision and mission. They understand the important role they play and are committed to
providing you with excellent service.
Your opinions matter
We know that as a member-owned cooperative, it’s critical for us to understand the challenges
you face. We pay attention to what’s going on in the economy and stay abreast of trends in
technology. We recognize your time is important and that you expect convenience from us so
we work hard to identify the types of products and services you’ll need. To do so, we listen to
you. Your opinions are important to us, so each month we ask about 1,000 to 2,500 members
who have made transactions to evaluate us on our service
quality, wait time, staff knowledge
and ability to solve problems.
If you receive a survey, please
take time to return it to us. Your
opinions matter.
